I thought I would share with you My marathon training schedule supplied by Macmillan Cancer support who I am more that proud to be running for. Please note that it is a 16 week plan so whilst you all will be still fully invloved with mince pies, Stilton and all my other favoutite things I will be pavement pounding.........

Getting Started
In June 09 I tried to run 2 miles after thinking fo many years that although I carried a bit of extra weight I was actually pretty fit as I was always active ..... Oh how wrong can you be, I Made it approximately 200 meters before having to stop. I crried on aound the 2 miles like this, more walking than running. The excitement was when I could go all the way without stopping.
Jump forward to now, Running 25 miles per week, 1/2 marathon last march and a 10 mile race pb of 1hr 18 mins. Now the big one. . . .. . THE LONDON MARATHON in 2011. I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would even be considering such a thing. But the fact is suddenly I have found something I can do
