Long run #2 Good luck all fellow London marathonners
Another long run today did 17 miles at better speed and more confortably than last weekends 18 mile. I think this was in a large part due to the gels, of which I have been unsure of the value in before but they really made a difference. Could be all in the mind as it gives you something to look forward to ! Either way am really looking forward to April 17th now . Good luck all fellow London marathonners.

maybe it is a midlife crisis
So today I became a grown up and have started wearing glasses for reading and using the computer. Running has done me a good job of getting fit and loosing weight but as Mr F reminds me my worst injury before starting running was a cut finger whilst cutting lemons for gin and tonic. Maybe this running lark is a mid life crisis afterall . ... .. should have just bought a harley !

Going for it
Great time at the east of Engalnd agricultural society dinner last night had good chats with lost of interesting people and as a bonus picked up over £100 in sponsorship so thanks for that if it was you I cought (missed out on the table sweepstake for length of main speakers speech though by about 20 seconds), very glad I decided to drive though as nothing is more confortable than your own bed is it. Not drinking means also that I feel very ready for go out for a run, thinking I may try an easy pace 5 mile at lunch time to see how things shape up, If you know my physio please lets keep this informaton between ourselves.
I have reached the first £1000 of fundraising this week and am really keen now to step it up so please go to http://www.justgiving.com/patrick-bidwell if you have'nt already.
Photo from Brentwood half last year, looking forward to doing it again this year, especially as I had to drop the watford half.

Thank you Mr T
I have just has it pointed out I have'nt blogged much (thanks Mr T) so after that kick in the pants, expect to see much more.
Unfortunately news is'nt good from here at the moment, I was getting over the calf injury and looking forward to going out in my nice new trainers when a tesco trolley I was pushing callously damaged my back (physio says sprained pelvis Mrs B calls is sprained Bum). So I am unable to do much Sitting for more than 5 mins hurts, standing the same and lying in bed is very boring. More Physio tonight so hopefully if I have done my exercises right I will be ok in a weeks time.......................
